The Cruciality of Gratitude

We made the mistake of not taking in and appreciating what there is to our lives, and in the process we almost lost everything. Let’s not make that same mistake twice, take everything in and appreciate every single moment there is; because you never really know what’s going to stay and what you’re going to lose. Be grateful, because you have so much more you can appreciate and be grateful for; don’t wait until you lose them to finally find their worth.

What do I want to be?

During our adolescent years, the weight of our futures are pushed onto us, and we rush to make a decision and push ourselves into the view of adulthood, without focusing on whether we’re ready to take that leap, whether we’re ready for that change in our lives. With the lack of actual interest or passion, the ignorance to how we actually feel, and the succumbing to everybody’s standards, we’re just sacrificing our real happiness on the terms of everybody else’s, it’s like we’re just building ourselves a recipe of disaster and regret.

Should we let derogation shape who we are?

Proclaimed by strangers, bullies or even our own family and friends, we encourage this derogation by letting it get to us and allowing it to shape the way we think, look and feel. We try to change everything from the way we look to the things we do, but in the end, all we end up doing is hating ourselves for not being able to fit into the standards other people set for us.

Reminiscing Melodies

Music gives us the ability to cherish these moments we thought we forgot about and gives us a chance to remember what we were going though, feel what we had once felt, and take us back to those crazy moments we associated with these songs.

“Because of My Religion?”

And so, in this time when we are imploring towards the fight for racial equality, may we also start this fight towards religious equality. There is no ‘superior’ religion or one that is any inferior, we were all made to be equals and we should never discriminate against others for having different views and beliefs of our own.
